Stonepine Ridge Suite
Private suite attached to homestead:
Set on 854 hectares of sweeping landscapes, wild country and the tame spaces of our working cattle property.
Enjoy soaring views where eagles fly from your beautiful, warm, self contained and private modern suite, part of a lovely brick homestead.
Friendly hosts provide you with a good breakfast catered to your dietary needs.
Perfect for writers, birdwatchers, bush walkers, nature photographers, artists. A serene place.
The main homestead also has a fireplace and grand piano for your enjoyment!
Your suite is a part of my home which is set in an acre of garden that contains many treasures both native and foreign that lend interest to the landscape. I share this space with my border collies Charlie and Roxy and a myriad number of birds that feed regularly at the feeder and in open cages (hung around the garden). Kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and koalas are also resident here from time to time.
Your accommodation is a modern space with a separate shower, toilet and wash basin. The bedroom is separate from the sitting and dining area, and there is a small kitchen area that provides you with a microwave, bar fridge, jug and toaster. Crockery and cutlery are also provided, as well as teapot, cups and complimentary tea and coffee. Water is filtered. Our sofa bed is well built and a comfortable double bed sleeping option.
Breakfast can be served in your accommodation or in the conservatory. You are also able to access the lounge room where you can enjoy an after dinner drink or a hot cuppa in front of the open fireplace. You are free to wander around the garden and on the property.
Other things to note
The town of Stanthorpe in Queensland is a 25 minute drive away. There are many wineries and restaurants where guests who would like to explore outside of the property, can visit. Tenterfield in New South Wales (Stonepine Ridge is in NSW), is a 50 minute drive away and it too has wineries and restaurants as well as gift, clothing and craft shops.
A tourist bus collects and returns visitors to their accommodation after a tour of wineries. Some wineries provide lunch.
