Unique Experience

A truely unique experience that should not be missed.

Your accommodation is a newly renovated self contained area on the side of the homestead, with a  separate bedroom, lounge/dining area and a modern 3 way bathroom.
In the lounge room of the homestead there is a baby grand piano as well as a large seated sunken open fire area to enjoy while having a drink.

The location is perfect, close to Bald Rock and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, a short drive to Tenterfield and the granite belt and close to Stanthorpe for the vineyards for wine and cheese tastings. Even the Mary Falls are only a short drive away. This 2000 acre property has sweeping gorge views from the homestead with all the serenity that you are looking for, the peace and quiet, with soaring eagles in the sky to the platypus in the river.

Liz is nothing short of being an exceptional hostess with her hospitality and warmth. Liz always made us feel at home and we were enthralled hearing all her worldly adventures which is reflected into the exotic food that she provided for us. Thank you again Liz for your hospitality and sharing your home with us, we will be back.

A lovely weekend away!

We booked in for a night at Stonepine Ridge on our way through Stanthorpe and ended up staying for three. Absolutely spectacular! Heaps of shaded space to camp and explore, plenty of green grass to set up on, fresh water creeks in every direction, elevated views and scenic walking trails. No motorbikes or noisy machinery, just typical country peace and quietness with beautiful cattle and open pastures. Liz, thanks for being a fantastic host and sharing your gorgeous property with us, we’ll definitely be back!

This is all real!

Having been greeted by their fairy godmother Liz, and her noble beast Charlie, the world weary travelers are guided through an enchanted forest, to a mountaintop palace.

This is Liz’ magic kingdom.

Here they will be plied with exotic foods, and drinks from far lands, tales from the highest Himalaya to the deepest Africa, sent on perilous journeys to secret places, or they may meet Liz’ son, the laughing prince, Alex, or some of her gnarled country retainers. The smell of jasmine and roses, the view of the endless mountain ranges of her kingdom, will be a balm to tired minds, and the ministrations of exotic elixirs and guacamole toast will calm the body, between banquets involving secret spices, homemade ice-creams, and fresh breads with persimmon marmalade.
Travelers leave rejuvenated, light of foot, with a song in their hearts. Liz’ magic has done it once again; she has added you to her family.
This is all real, people! Don’t miss it…

Amazing place!

What an amazing place to stay. Liz was a wonderful hostess. She made us feel so welcome in her home. The food was delicious and the venue was superb. We were dazzled by the panoramic views from the front door. If you are looking for some relaxing down time, this is the place to come to. Thank you Liz. We are looking forward to our return visit.

Highly recommend

We highly recommend staying at Lizs place. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The gorgeous enourmous fireplace kept us warm while Liz cooked dinner. Her conversation and stories had us enthralled. Highly recommend you have an SUV or 4wd to access her home in the wilderness. I could not stop looking at the view and watching rhe birds. We ventured out during the day to Stanthorpe and the vineyards. Wine tasting, cheese eating and lunch. Then back to “Stonepine Ridge” for the fireplace conversation and the yummiest home cooked meals. Liz and Bruce are fabulous cooks. Breakfast great too. One of our daughters is coeliac and Liz and Bruce cooked everything gluten free. The best food! We will be back in Spring to enjoy the land and go for a hike but best of all the food the hospitality and the view!!

Absolute Gem!

Liz’s place at Stonepine Ridge is an absolute gem! Sparkling clean, beautiful linen on the comfy bed, modern bathroom, stunning garden, magnificent views that are always changing and warm friendly hospitality. Liz cooked us dinner and breakfast which was amazing! You are able to drive around the property in your 4wd, she is also adding camping in a section of the property that is lush and green with a creek running through it. We spent a day in Stanthorpe, which is only 25mins away and retreated back to Stonepine Ridge for the views and fresh air! Highly recommended B & B!
